We are honored to be part of a business with such a strong family tradition and thankful for the great example that Paul Drum provided as an Entrepreneur and father.

Ferrell Drum shared his thoughts on how his father’s influence on his life:

“My dad was a very honorable man and always did what he said. When my father was younger and building the business, my dad was an installer and did everything. He was known for his big hands that could grip a grapefruit. His “Hands” on my life were how kind his touch was, how protected they made me feel, they represented how he was my compass, my guide; the hands had a tenderness that shouted love. His hands were the conversation of the family because they represented Daddy, Honey, Pa Paw and Uncle Paul. We are who we are and will become because “His Hands ” touched each of us.”

Paul Herman Drum was born March 15, 1926 in Garland Texas. He met Ruth Powell in 1946 and they were married August 10, 1946. After retiring in 1972 from Garland Insulating, he worked for the City of Rowlett as a building inspector for five years. Paul was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Garland and helped to start the Rowlett Church of Christ. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time at their farm in Avery Texas.
